Find a ProviderWhat is diarrhea?
Diarrhea is characterized by loose, watery stools and usually happens more often than normal bowel movements. Experiencing loose stools three times a day or more puts it in the category of diarrhea. In general, diarrhea lasts for only a short amount of time, but chronic or persistent diarrhea can point to a far more serious cause. Diarrhea can sometimes, on occasion, be treated with home remedies. The most important thing one can do is to consume plenty of fluids to replace the fluids being lost during watery bowel movements. One can also incorporate bananas, rice, applesauce, and toast into their diet. In the event that you suspect you could have a bacteria or virus, antivirals or antibiotics might be prescribed. Additionally, you can use nonprescription medications with your doctor's supervision. However, there are several conditions, diseases, and cancers that manifest themselves through diarrhea. Some such conditions include but are not limited to colon cancer, Crohn's disease, and irritable bowel syndrome (IBS). For these reasons, it is important not to self-diagnose but to consult a doctor if severe diarrhea develops. Please know that you are not alone and you can find treatment for diarrhea in Florida. You can find a local gastroenterologist through Gastroenterology Associates of Florida.

It is still too soon to know but so far I am satisfied. The only problem is the VRI.. I am not sure if the VRI interpreter interpreted accurately. It is hard to see with a small ipad.
I think the world of Dr Sherman. He is extremely friendly, personable, approachable, and very professional. I had a rather embarrassing problem, which I would rather not talk about, but he solved it in only one visit. I would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone.
Dr Silverstein's attention to details and truly caring nature saved my life. Her office staff are warm and friendly. I was blessed to have found her in 2015 and I've recommended her to family, friends and co-workers. Crystal Webster
I had tried to get an appointment with another gastro physician twice and was told he had no appointment time for my visit for two months. I had a serious problem because of radiation I was receiving which made me very nauseous and unable to eat. Despite the problem I described to that physician’s assistant he had no time?! I wondered about the oath he had given when becoming a physician to save lives! Dr. Steinberg saw me at 8am the next morning (!) following my call to his office. He prescribed medication for the nausea and I can now eat once more! A great doctor, thank you, Dr. Steinberg!
